A Little Background History . . .
Worked with various acoustic and electric duos and bands for 30 years. First public performance age of 5. First television appearance also age 5 on the Joe Loss Show. Joe Loss was an integral part of my family life for the first 10 years as he and my parents were very good friends, having worked together for a good many years at a dance hall in Coventry. Mum played piano and Dad was lead singer with a 'swing' style 'big' band during and just after the war. Uncle Bill played piano in a band and 'Uncle George Nesdon' taught me piano.
Teaching: - I began teaching in 1985 at Rugby College. I worked for just one term to 'cover' for a friend. It gave me the bug . . . . I completed my training and started teaching Guitar and Computing at Warwickshire College in Leamington. I still teach guitar to groups of adults at the college and in the community. I teach music theory and listening skills modules on BTec Popular Music. I teach Guitar to youngsters in Primary Schools throughout the south of the county for Warwickshire County Music Service.
Individual lessons from £20 hourly adults and children - up to and including RGT / LCM / ABRSM Grade 2 Guitar or Music Theory - thereafter £2 extra per grade (£30 for Grade 8). Group and individual lessons taught in purpose built music studio. All teaching subject to MU standard teaching contracts, which must be snail mailed to students before lessons can commence. Currently: Working pretty much full-time for the County Music Service in Warwickshire, teaching guitar in a number of primary schools in the South and South West of the County, covering for a colleague who is sick. Teaching for Warwickshire College - Beginners Guitar to adults evenings and in the community. I'm also a trained MULA (Musicians Union Learning Adviser) and am available to signpost MU colleagues in training opportunities and further musical development. Principal and tutor at Warwick Guitar School.

Worked in manufacture of jingles and adverts for radio and television. Session musician at recording studio. Radio presenter / commercial production.
Many solo gigs at banquets, wedding banquets and corporate events. Resident Court Minstrel at Coombe Abbey - I retired as Banquet Manager in January 2008 after two really hectic years as manager. Celtic / classical guitar at private dinners and weddings. Numerous radio and TV performances. Married to Neil, Harry's 'mum'.
Most Looking Forward To: Waking up to a new day tomorrow morning. Dinner at the Four Cats in Barcelona with my Neil - anytime we can get there. Els Quatre Gats - Barcelona Fun but personally challeging Guitar lessons with the wonderful Clive Carroll in June, July and August 2008. Chocolate - always.
Pet Hates:People who listen with their mouths and not their ears! Being called 'Janie'. Moaners - just get on with it.
